DBEC Launches Second Industry Newsletter – June 2026 Edition
The Dublin Belfast Economic Corridor (DBEC) has released its second Industry Newsletter, highlighting key investments, strategic developments and collaborative activity across the Corridor.
This edition captures strong momentum across infrastructure, innovation and economic performance, reinforcing DBEC’s role as a connected and fast-growing cross-border economic region.
Key updates include:
- Major rail investment: €698m / £548m investment in a new Enterprise fleet delivered by Iarnród Éireann and Translink, significantly enhancing cross-border connectivity
- Belfast Harbour Masterplan (2025–2050): Long-term vision for port growth, regeneration and trade
- New CSO data: Continued evidence of population growth, labour integration and rising cross-border activity across the Corridor
- Innovation and skills: Launch of the Innovate+ Programme and AI Ready.ie, supporting SME growth and digital capability
- Investment pipeline: £5bn+ opportunities showcased at UKREiiF 2026
- Corridor Champions: Featuring Mary Considine and Ian Campbell
- Key events: Including Resonate Testing’s new TVAC capability, Summit of the Cities, and the New York | New Belfast conference
